Round 1: Opening Matchups

The top 8 teams from the regular season are seeded 1-8 based on their standings. Round 1 pairs the highest seeds against the lowest seeds:

G1 Seed #1 vs Seed #8
G2 Seed #4 vs Seed #5
G3 Seed #2 vs Seed #7
G4 Seed #3 vs Seed #6
What Happens After Round 1?
Winners advance to the Winners Bracket (Round 2).
Losers drop to the Losers Bracket — they get a second chance!

Winners Bracket

Teams that won their Round 1 matchup continue in the Winners Bracket. Stay undefeated and you're on the fast track to the championship!

G5 Winner of G1 vs Winner of G2
G6 Winner of G3 vs Winner of G4
Winners of G5 and G6 advance to the Semifinals with a clean record
Losers of G5 and G6 drop to the Losers Bracket for their second chance

Losers Bracket

Teams that lost in Round 1 aren't eliminated — they compete in the Losers Bracket for a chance to fight back into championship contention!

G7 Loser of G1 vs Loser of G2
G8 Loser of G3 vs Loser of G4

Then the Losers Bracket survivors face the teams that dropped from the Winners Bracket:

G9 Winner of G7 vs Loser from G5/G6 (reseeded)
G10 Winner of G8 vs Loser from G5/G6 (reseeded)
Elimination Games
Every game in the Losers Bracket is do-or-die. Lose here and you're eliminated from the playoffs!

Reseeding Explained

To ensure fair matchups, teams are reseeded based on their original regular season standings at key points in the bracket.

After Round 2: When Winners Bracket losers drop down, they're matched against Losers Bracket survivors based on original seeding
Final 4 Semifinals: The four remaining teams are reseeded so the highest original seed plays the lowest
Why Reseed?
Reseeding rewards teams that performed well during the regular season. It prevents random bracket luck and ensures competitive, balanced matchups!

Semifinals

The Final 4 teams are reseeded based on their original regular season standings. The top remaining seed faces the lowest, and the #2 remaining seed faces the #3.

G11 Semifinal 1: Highest remaining seed vs Lowest remaining seed
G12 Semifinal 2: 2nd highest seed vs 3rd highest seed
Both Semifinal winners advance to the Championship
Semifinal losers are eliminated (no more second chances at this stage)

Championship Game

The two Semifinal winners battle it out for the ultimate prize — the Asia Flag League Season 1 Championship!

G13 Winner of Semifinal 1 vs Winner of Semifinal 2
The Champion
The winner of Game 13 becomes the inaugural Asia Flag League Season 1 Champion!
