Waiver of Liability

Welcome to Season 1 of the Asia Flag Association (AFA) Weekly League.

Before joining, please read this waiver carefully. By registering or participating, you acknowledge that you understand the nature of the sport, accept all associated risks, and agree to the terms below.

I, the undersigned participant, voluntarily choose to participate in the AFA Season 1 Weekly League organized by the Asia Flag Association (AFA).

I understand that participation is entirely voluntary and that no one has required or pressured me to join.

I understand that flag football is a competitive, physical sport involving running, contact, and quick movement, which can result in injuries.

These may include but are not limited to:

• Sprains, strains, dislocations, fractures, or concussions
• Collisions with other players, ground impact, or equipment
• Dehydration, heat exhaustion, or weather-related issues
• Unforeseen injuries during warmups, games, or drills

In consideration for being allowed to participate in the AFA Season 1 Weekly League, I hereby release and discharge the Asia Flag Association, its officers, referees, staff, sponsors, partners, and venue operators from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action that may arise from my participation, including those due to negligence or unforeseen circumstances.

This release covers:

• Personal injury or illness
• Damage to personal property
• Loss, theft, or financial expense related to participation

I understand that this waiver applies to all AFA activities related to Season 1 — including games, practices, and promotional events.

I authorize AFA staff or referees to provide or arrange basic first aid or emergency medical treatment if needed.

I understand that any further medical care or hospital expenses are my sole responsibility.

I affirm that I am physically fit to participate in flag football and have consulted a physician if necessary.

I agree to follow AFA's Code of Conduct, respect all referees and players, and maintain proper sportsmanship.

I understand that any form of harassment, unsportsmanlike behavior, or reckless play may lead to ejection from games or the entire league without refund.

I grant permission for AFA and its media partners to photograph, film, or record my participation during the Season 1 Weekly League.

I understand that these materials may be used in promotional content, social media, and league highlights without additional approval or compensation.

If I wish to request removal of certain media, I may email media@asiaflagfootball.com.

I understand that I am responsible for my personal equipment, valuables, and belongings during all league activities.

AFA and the venue are not liable for any loss, theft, or damage.

If the participant is under 18, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to this waiver before participation.

By signing, the parent/guardian accepts full responsibility for the player's participation, health, and conduct during the league.

This waiver is governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.

Any dispute arising from participation in the AFA Season 1 Weekly League shall be settled under the jurisdiction of the courts of Taguig City, Metro Manila.

I understand that by agreeing, I waive substantial legal rights, including the right to sue the Asia Flag Association or its affiliates.
